Overview
Pivot Weight Loss Center is a bariatric surgery platform that supports patients through both surgical and non-surgical weight loss procedures. The platform is backed by science, powered by technology, and overseen by a dedicated care team including surgeons, medical assistants, and certified bariatric dietitians. We built a high-converting marketing and patient education site featuring a 60-second candidate assessment, procedure library, fee transparency, and integrated live chat support.
The Problem
Bariatric surgery is an emotionally sensitive and high-consideration purchase — prospective patients research extensively before contacting any provider. Pivot's old site read like a static brochure: no interactivity, no self-assessment tool, no community angle. Leads were low-quality because patients had not been educated before calling, requiring long discovery calls to qualify candidates.
The Solution
A warm, modern site anchored by a prominent 60-second self-assessment ("Are You A Candidate For Weight Loss Surgery?") that qualifies patients before they speak to anyone. The six "Why Us?" pillars (Modern Approach, Before the Procedure, Beyond the Procedure, Flexible Payment, 1:1 Coaching, I-Pivot Community) are each a scannable module. Live chat integrates with a patient care specialist for immediate support.
Warm cream and medical-blue palette strikes a confident but accessible tone — not clinical-cold, not consumer-gimmicky. The hero leads with the emotional outcome ("Weight Loss and Bariatric Surgery") with the assessment CTA front-and-centre. A sticky live chat widget ensures no patient question goes unanswered at any scroll depth.
WordPress with Elementor Pro for the content pages. The 60-second assessment is a branching Thrive Quiz Builder flow that segments candidates by BMI, health history, and procedure interest — output drives a conditional CTA to the relevant surgeon contact.
Our Process
Research
Reviewed 40 inbound calls from the previous quarter — 60% were pre-qualification questions that an online assessment could answer. Identified the 6 most common objections and built them into the Why Us section.
Design
Warm, accessible palette chosen after testing three directions with 5 real bariatric candidates. The cream/orange system felt trustworthy and aspirational without feeling intimidating.
Development
Six-week build. Branching assessment logic in Thrive Quiz Builder, Elementor Pro for all page layouts, and a custom Gravity Forms consultation request integrated with the surgeon team's calendar.
Testing
Assessment tested with 10 volunteer candidates pre-launch. Surgeon consultation form pressure-tested with the practice management team to confirm routing worked correctly.
