Major Editing — Professional Video Editing Services Site
Unleash the power of professional video editing — first cut delivered in 24 hours.

Overview
Major Editing is a professional video editing service run by a self-taught editor with an electronic music production background. Specialising in YouTube intros, Kinetic Typography, corporate presentations, Zoom recordings, highlight reels, podcasts, and audio mixing, the service delivers "A cut above the rest" with super-fast turnaround. Clients include Urban, Adrienne Farrow, Behavioural Insights Team, and Elementary Educational Consulting.
The Problem
A skilled freelance video editor with impressive clients had no professional web presence — just a YouTube channel. Potential clients couldn't see the range of work, evaluate the quality, or understand pricing. Every new client was discovered through cold outreach rather than inbound.
The Solution
A high-energy blue-and-dark site designed to feel like a production studio. A video reel section embeds three work samples (Kinetic Typography, YouTube Intro Multiple Effects, YouTube Intro Before & After) so prospects experience the quality immediately. A scrolling client logo strip (Urban, Adrienne Farrow, Behavioural Insights, Elementary Educational) provides social proof. An "Estimate Your Project Cost" CTA alongside the primary "Get Started" creates a low-commitment entry point.
Dark blue/black with bright cyan accents — feels like a professional editing suite. The personal photo of the editor in his workspace builds the human connection that freelance clients need. The work samples are formatted as a portfolio carousel rather than a static image grid.
WordPress with Elementor Pro. YouTube video embeds using a lite-embed for performance. Project cost estimator links to a Gravity Forms multi-step form with project type and complexity selection.
Our Process
Research
Identified that the #1 barrier for new clients was not knowing what a project would cost. The cost estimator CTA was added specifically to convert hesitant prospects.
Design
Dark blue production-suite aesthetic. Blue/cyan felt appropriately technical without the all-black edginess that can feel amateur.
Development
Three-week build. YouTube lite-embed implemented for performance without sacrificing visual quality.
Testing
Portfolio carousel tested across iOS and Android before launch.

Conclusion
The portfolio site converted the editor's YouTube channel into a professional business identity. The cost estimator reduced back-and-forth quoting conversations by pre-qualifying project scope, and the embedded work samples became the most effective sales tool for converting hesitant prospects.
